A superb team performance saw the Expat Lions leapfrog Swoosh 136 and MF to go top of the Division 2 table for the first time this season.

Once again another master class in striking by Shaun 'Of the Dead' Sweeney saw the big man bag another hat-trick as The Lions ran out comfortable 4-2 winners against Swoosh 136. Match report

Soccerities have again been caught fielding a non-registered player, and having received two bans already this season, and been given a final warning, the SSL Committee has no option but to terminate their
involvement in the SSL with immediate effect.

All the results from their games will be null and void. We are inviting USJ FC into our league to replace Soccerities, and they will play friendly matches in place of Soccerites' league games, and join the Bowl
QF as if they had finished bottom of Group D.

This weeks cup match is against Sang Chuan of Division 1, who were involved in a controversial abandonned game with Asterix Reds recently.

The game is at 15:45 pm on Saturday 1st March at the BP ground (the main set of pitches on the way in to Bangi).

A well taken strike by unlikely hero Bob 'Beer-Belly' Boyd in the 11th minute of extra time saw The Lions maintain their good run of form and progression towards the summit of the SSLKL. It was an out of sorts Lions performance if truth be told, which also nearly ended up in two-man brawl amongst our own players (some call it 'healthy banter'). Yeah right.

The recurring blindness in officialdom, combined with diarrhoea, vomiting, broken feet, and even a nasty burst of Tourette’s Syndrome at the end of the match by the Expatriate Lions, left the side feeling pretty sick after an excellent Kepong Chinese side brought their recent good run to an end.

The Expatriate Lions recorded only their second league win of the season courtesy of a master-class in leading the line from Shaun Sweeney, but the match was far from plain sailing for the battling Lions who were literally kicked, punched and pulled all over the pitch.
